Respite Wednesday

"The most I can do for my friend
Is simply to be his friend.
I have no wealth to bestow on him.
If he knows that I am happy in loving him,
He will want no other reward.
Is not friendship divine in this?"
~~Henry David Thoreau~~

My friendship with you is one of my life's greatest rewards.

I noticed the stores are starting to put pumpkins out. I can't wait till Reformation Day.

How is the Hadley patch? ;-)

And that is what we need to remember with friends. It's bad when this simplicity is forgotten...which is often.

I have a friend that this verse reminds me of. We have known each other for more than 20 years and even if we haven't spoken for a few months we can pick right up where we left off. :-)
