I think it's important and so much fun to get a gift out of season, not for easter, christmas, birthday etc. Niall used to send Sean small gifts in the post when he was 5 and 6. A wee note with a packet of chewing gum or perhaps a picture of a ship. He loved them. Must try to remember to do it again sometime.
I hope she has lots of fun with her gift.
